Schedule 1 indie game Steam return in Australia

Schedule 1 Returns to Australia: Indie Hit Back on Steam With Big Updates Ahead

Schedule 1, the breakout indie sensation from solo developer TVGS, is officially back on Steam Australia. After a surprise removal earlier this year, the game is once again available to purchase and play for Australian gamers.

Why Was Schedule 1 Removed From Australian Steam?

In May 2025, Schedule 1 was unexpectedly taken down from the Australian Steam store. This led to widespread speculation that the game had been banned due to its drug-related themes. However, TVGS quickly cleared the air, confirming that the game simply needed to undergo Australia’s age certification process before it could be re-listed.

Now, nearly two months later, that process is complete, and Schedule 1 is officially back in Australia.

Schedule 1: The Indie Game That Took Over 2025

While 2025 has already seen major AAA releases like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, indie games have also stolen the spotlight, none more than Schedule 1.

Despite being developed by a solo creator, the game has achieved phenomenal success:

  • Peaked at 460,000 concurrent players
  • Sold over 9 million copies
  • Earned $125 million in revenue

It’s fair to say that Schedule 1 has become a global phenomenon on Steam and beyond.

What’s Next? Schedule 1’s Upcoming Content Update

To keep the momentum going, TVGS is planning a major content update. Earlier this year, players were asked to vote in-game between three new expansion options:

  • Cartel Wars
  • Shrooms
  • Police Expansion

With Cartel Wars winning the vote, the developer has confirmed that this expansion is in the works and is expected to release by the end of the month.

New Features Already Rolling Out

Before the big patch, TVGS rolled out a smaller update, version v0.3.6f6, late last month. It featured:

  • Several bug fixes and performance improvements
  • A brand-new off-road skateboard, giving players more freedom to explore the map

Australian Players Can Now Rejoin the Action

If you’re in Australia and already owned the game before it was delisted, you should still see it in your Steam library. For new players, Schedule 1 is now fully available for purchase on the Australian store.

With fresh content on the horizon and the game’s return to one of its key markets, Schedule 1 is showing no signs of slowing down.
